The Global Quality Assurance Association (GQAA) is a renowned continental and global network that brings together higher education leaders, academics, quality assurance professionals, industry leaders and administrative practitioners to foster meaningful engagement, knowledge exchange and professional collaboration.

The organization provides a dynamic platform for its members to connect, network, share knowledge, skills, expertise and experiences, while facilitating strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives across diverse areas of quality assurance and higher education. Through these engagements, members are able to learn from one another, exchange innovative practices, and collectively respond to emerging challenges and opportunities within the quality assurance landscape.

More importantly, the GQAA serves as a common platform for African higher education stakeholders to build professional relationships, strengthen institutional and individual capacities, and promote a shared commitment to excellence. By connecting professionals across institutions, countries and regions, the Association contributes to advancing Quality Assurance systems and practices and ultimately, to improving the quality of higher education, products and services across Africa and beyond.

Before joining the association, it is important to be familiar with the associated benefits. After joining the GQAA, all members are encouraged to keep abreast with the GQAA activities by being part of the GQAA mailing list and newsletter (www.gqaa.org) so that they benefit from the wealth of opportunities and information that are shared by the association on a regular basis. GQAA members must also make concerted efforts to be part of the various activities that will be organized according to areas of specialization.
